Category: Puerh

Golden Brick Puerh is well-rounded and bold. When you remove the golden wrapper, the compressed tea is the right amount for 16 ounces of tea. Performs equally well as a traditional gong fu tea, or an extended steep—no bitterness, just robust and earthy goodness. Not only does this tea make an ideal coffee replacement, but the probiotic nature of puerh has a soothing effect on the stomach.

Our Golden Brick Puerh comes from Jingmai Mountain in Yunnan where the Dai people have hand-picked the ancient tea trees for millennia. This ensures quality and continues this time-honored tradition. In addition to producing teas with remarkable flavor and flexible steeping quality, the 700-1,000 year old ancient tea trees thrive in a diverse forest that provides rich antioxidants and nutrients.

Henry ★★★★★

The compressed brick is dense and dark, and one piece brews a solid 16 ounces without turning bitter. I've done both gong fu and a lazy mug steep, and it holds up either way.

Eli ★★★★★

The 16-ounce ratio is spot on, so I don't have to guess how much to break off. Steeped it gong fu style and got a solid six or seven rounds before it started fading.

Julian J. ★★★★★

Bold and smooth from the very first steep, with none of the harshness I brace for in a young puerh. The brick breaks off cleanly, and one chunk is genuinely the right size for my 16 oz pot, so I'm not guessing at ratios. Gong fu on a lazy Sunday morning has become my favorite way to drink it.
