I've been brewing loose leaf in a glass jar and this strainer sits right over the rim, so the leaves finally have room to open up instead of crammed in a ball. Pour-over style really does taste different.

The mesh is fine enough that even my smallest broken leaf pieces stay put, and I love that I can just drop it over a glass jar and let the leaves open up fully. Pour-over style really does make a difference in how the tea tastes.

Using a teapot instead of a gaiwan for my oolongs has been a game changer, and this strainer sits right on the rim so the leaves get the full space of the pot to open up. Cleanup is quick too.
