I was worried green tea would taste too grassy for me, but this one has a solid, almost black-tea backbone with just a hint of sweetness. The moderate astringency keeps it from feeling thin, and I've been reaching for it every morning instead of coffee.

The little rolled pearls unfurl into a surprisingly dark, robust cup — much closer to a black tea than I expected from a green. That moderate astringency with the faint sweetness at the end is exactly what I want in the morning.

I was worried these would be too grassy, but the hint of sweetness and moderate astringency actually remind me more of a black tea. They stay flavorful through at least three steeps.
