Loading this thing with loose leaf is half the fun, and the tea actually gets room to swirl around in that little monster body instead of jammed into a tiny ball. Watching Nessie's neck and head poke out of my mug while it steeps makes my whole morning better.
The basket actually holds a decent amount of loose leaf without the tiny bits escaping into my cup. Cleaning it takes a little rinse since the leaves cling to her body, but watching that neck peek over the rim while it steeps is worth it.
