El Earl Grey, la mezcla de té más popular del mundo, solo requiere dos ingredientes: té negro y bergamota. Este cítrico mediterráneo prospera solo en unas pocas regiones del mundo, pero desde que se unió al Earl Grey, ha llegado a tazas de té en todos los rincones del planeta.

Lleva el nombre de Charles Grey, un primer ministro británico de la década de 1830. Según la leyenda, el té aromatizado fue un regalo. Otros dicen que rescató a un mandarín chino de ahogarse, aunque Charles nunca viajó a China. Otros afirman que la bergamota se añadió para imitar una variedad de primera calidad.

The citrus really comes through clearly on the first sip, bright and lively without overpowering the tea underneath. I’ve had it black and with a splash of milk and both ways it holds its bold character nicely. Only wish the bag came with a bit more in the tin for the price.
