Earl Grey, nejoblíbenější čajová směs na světě, vyžaduje pouze dvě ingredience: černý čaj a bergamot. Tento středomořský citrus prospívá pouze v několika oblastech světa, ale od té doby, co se spojil s Earl Greyem, přistál v šálcích v každém koutě zeměkoule.

Slavně pojmenovaný po Charlesi Greyovi, britském premiérovi z 30. let 19. století. Podle pověstí byl tento ochucený čaj darem. Jiní tvrdí, že zachránil čínského mandarína před utonutím – i když Charles nikdy do Číny necestoval. Další zase říkají, že bergamot byl přidán, aby napodobil špičkovou odrůdu.

The citrus really comes through clearly on the first sip, bright and lively without overpowering the tea underneath. I’ve had it black and with a splash of milk and both ways it holds its bold character nicely. Only wish the bag came with a bit more in the tin for the price.
